Meeting Venues

Workshops, scientific sessions, posters, exhibits, and registration will take place at the Moscone North and South (Convention Center) from Friday, June 15 – Tuesday, June 19.

Reserve Space for Meetings or Other Functions

Exhibiting companies, allied societies, and alumni groups needing space for meetings or events are invited to hold their gatherings during asm2012. The following educational activities and affiliated events are included: Abstract and /or Poster Compilations, Educational Presentations in a Booth, Product Theaters, Focus Groups, Investigators Meetings, Hospitality Events, and Staff Meetings.

Americans with Disabilities Act

Housing Accommodations
All hotels are in compliance, to some degree, with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Attendees requiring specially designed accommodations are advised to note their needs on the Advance Registration & Housing Form, or inform the Experient agent by phone when making housing arrangements.

Special Service at Moscone North and South
Persons requiring special services at Moscone North and South (wheelchair-accessible transportation, sign interpreters, etc.) are asked to make their needs known during the registration process.

ASM Onsite Career Service

ASM will once again feature its online job board and onsite placement service, ASM Career Connections, at asm2012. Employers and candidates can post positions and resumes, identify others attending the meeting, and communicate by email to arrange face-to-face interviews onsite.

Computers will be available to access the service at the ASM Career Connections booth in the Exhibit Hall. ASM’s Career service is free for job seekers who are members of ASM. Employers who are ASM members receive a discount on their postings. Participants are encouraged to register in advance of the meeting to get a head start on their searches. Government Rate Availability

Most of the hotels in the ASM block honor the US Government Per Diem Rates established for travel to San Francisco. If you are a government employee or contractor, and have the appropriate documentation required at check-in, you may check the “government rate” box on the registration form. Please note that the number of rooms available varies by hotel, and is limited. Once these rooms are all reserved, only the asm2012 rate will be available.

Child Care

ASM will not be providing child care services at the Convention Center this year. Below are some alternative child care options. Please note that these providers are not endorsed by ASM.


Child Safety

Children are not permitted entry into session rooms. Also, children under the age of 18 are not permitted on the Exhibit Hall floor during setup or dismantling hours. During scheduled show hours, exceptions are made when parents or guardians complete and sign a Minor Release Form. This form is available in the General Meeting Information Booth and in the ASM Headquarters Office. Strollers are not allowed in the Exhibit Hall and may be checked at the coat and baggage check.

Parking
