Young Investigator Oral Abstract Presentations
asm2013 was designed with science and scientists at the forefront. In an effort to provide more opportunities to younger scientists, select afternoon sessions will include four 15-minute oral presentations of abstracts (excluding the Diagnostic Microbiology and Epidemiology Program).
This is an opportunity for young investigators to give a 15 minute oral abstract presentation as part of an asm2013 symposium.
What is a young investigator?
Young investigators are graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, assistant professors, or other young scientists.
How do I identify what sessions are eligible?
Sessions eligible for oral abstract presentation submissions are indicated by 
. Use the Daily Schedule or General Program to identify the session(s) most appropriate to your abstract topic.
How do I submit my abstract to be considered for an oral presentation?
- During the abstract submission process, select the checkbox that indicates you would like your abstract to be considered for an oral presentation.
- Choose the session(s) to which you would like to have your abstract submitted.
- The session conveners will review the accepted abstracts and notify those that have been selected.
