Other Programs - Childcare

Camp ASM 2008

Thank you very much for your interest in the American Society for Microbiology childrens program. Our goal is to provide your children with a program they want to attend, while providing you with that critical peace of mind feeling so you can attend event activities. KiddieCorp is pleased to provide a childrens program during the 108th ASM Annual Meeting.

KiddieCorp is in its 22nd year of providing high quality childrens programs and youth services to conventions, trade shows and special events. We take watching your children very seriously. KiddieCorp has enjoyed a long-time partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics, which has helped to establish KiddieCorp as a premier provider of event childrens program services.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

KiddieCorps professional, trained supervisors are CPR and First Aid certified. KiddieCorps staff consists of professional Childrens Program providers, or mothers who simply have worked with children and have completed KiddieCorps specialized training program. To ensure your children have the best care, our staff-to-child ratios are high.

NOTES

Medication: KiddieCorp staff does not administer medication.

Registration

The days you have registered your child(ren) are the days we will expect your child(ren). Our staff to child ratios are high to ensure that every child feels special (1:2 for children ages 6 months through 11 months old; 1:3 for children ages 1 through 2 years old; 1:5 for children ages 3 through 12 years old). KiddieCorp team members are selected according to their integrity, experience, education and enthusiasm. They must be wonderful with kids! You will feel extra secure knowing that the KiddieCorp team is bonded and that we carry ample liability insurance. To cancel your childrens attendance for one or more times, please contact us in writing. You may contact us at 858-455-1718 or at info@kiddiecorp.com

Meals/Snacks

KiddieCorp will serve juice and healthy snacks. You will be responsible for your childrens meals. You can brown bag it for the entire meeting. Lunch hour is from 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

Clothing

Children should be dressed in comfortable, washable clothing, and younger children should bring an extra change of clothes just in case of an accident. Please label the clothes clearly with the child(ren)s names. Please mark all bags, bottles, knapsacks, etc. with the child(ren)s names.

Toys

We discourage toys for older children. We have plenty of exiting things, and personal items may get lost or broken. KiddieCorp is not responsible for loss or theft of any toy, book, or other personal items; however we will maintain a lost and found.

Infants/Toddlers

You are responsible for furnishing diapers, bottles and baby food for your child(ren). There will be a refrigerator on site for bottles and items that need refrigeration. You might also want to bring the childs blanket or stroller to help them feel more comfortable in different surroundings. If your child uses a pacifier, please make certain it is attached to a string or ribbon. Please label everything. Diapers are changed frequently, so please bring at least six diapers per day. Pull-ups are not allowed for sanitary reasons. We will have a communication log-on site for you to record any special instructions. In addition, our staff will keep track of your child's activities (feedings, diaper changes, etc.) to report to you at the end of the day.

Quiet Time

Quiet time is scheduled from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm daily. At this time the lights will be lowered and a video will be shown. All other activities in the center will cease. Please plan your child(ren)s schedule accordingly.
